I wanted to call this page “Parenting”, but as it turns out, I’ve already used that. I decided to go with classic psychology instead. ^_^

Truthfully, I think this is a pretty clever tactic on Fara’s part. No yelling. No screaming. No grounding. Hell, Rain doesn’t even know she’s in trouble yet. Sure, Fara’s effectively bribing her niece, but hey, it just might work. Of course, if Rain does pass everything and Colin doesn’t get any tickets, Fara might be in trouble…

Fara Bryer:
So, Rain... I've heard something interesting through the grapevine recently.
Fara Bryer:
See, rumor has it they're in the process of developing a Kaminari anime.
Fara Bryer:
And I guess they want to create buzz in the States, so the original author is going to be touring conventions all over the country.
Fara Bryer:
It's still a ways off, but I was thinking that maybe if you could keep your grades up, it might be a lot of fun to go.
Fara Bryer:
Maybe you could meet her or get a signed copy or something.
Fara Bryer:
What do you think, hon?
Liriel Rain Bryer:
Keep my grades up...? How "up" do they need to be?
Fara Bryer:
Well, you know, I need you to be passing everything, of course.
Fara Bryer:
Progress reports are going out next week, so that should be a good judge of where you stand.
Liriel Rain Bryer:
Um... may I be excused. I just remembered I had some studying to do.

Fara is thinking to herself:

Am I awesome or what?
Fara Bryer:
Now I just have to hope Colin can get those tickets for me...
