Rain:261: Panties

(Redirected from 261:Panties)

Synopsis

Aiken pulls into Centerville Mall. Rain worries about people she knows seeing her in drab, while Gavin tries to reassure Rain that she can blend in.

Author Notes

Gavin makes some good points. And if you think about it, he’s playing along really well for someone who wanted Rain to just tell her brother. He even kinda points out that he’s taking it more seriously than she is by not protesting everything. For the record, even if Aiken had overheard the “panties” comment, he probably wouldn’t think much of it. Take it out of the context of “this is a trans comic”, and that’s not actually a weird thing for a guy to say to another guy.

TL;DR – Gavin’s a clever bastard.

Also, I should say this all follows immediately where Chapter 11 left off. Like I said on the chapter page, they were originally meant to be one long chapter together, but this part of the arc is set in a different location. Of course, WHY they’re there is the big question…

Wait. Why did we stop here? This isn't the place we all agreed on!
Relax, Ryan. It's where Aunt Fara pulled in. I was just following her.
She must be insane. I can't be here like this. It's the last weekend before Christmas. It's too crowded. Someone from school is bound to be in there.
I understand what you're trying to say, but the fact that it IS crowded will mean you'll stand out less. So try not to get your panties in a bunch.
Geez, are you trying to sabotage me with all your double entendres?
Oh, come on. You have to admit that one was clever.
Besides, you're the one drawing attention to yourself with all the worrying and moping. I'm acting natural.
