Debbie Gero was Emily's best friend,[1][2] up until Emily befriended Rain, where she opens up to Rain and her friends and increasingly stays with Rain's friend group rather than her own for fear of being judged.[3] Emily loses contact with her old friend group, to the point that Debbie no longer considers herself Emily's best friend.[1][2] They later reconcile and reconnect.[4][5]
