Synopsis

Micah and Verity take Chiaki shopping for clothes.

The name of the store, for those of you wondering, is "Loads of Clothes from Rose." ^_^

Chiaki can finally wear clothes besides uniforms and hand-me-downs! Expect to see her in all of these and more in the future. :D

We see her filling up her dresser with her new clothes, which is now decorated with basically all her possessions. One old school uniform. One old school bag. One now framed photobooth picture with the crush. And of course, UsaMaMa-chan is always with her.

She's settling in pretty well, I guess. But there is a lot of introspection here too, so what's your takeaway?

Chiaki is thinking to herself:

Chiaki Koizumi:
And before I know it, I’m brought to a nearby clothing store.

Chiaki Koizumi:
It’s still surprising to me how the clothes in this world seem no different than the kinds of things I’d wear back home. When I think about a world with demi-humans and magic, I think armor and cloaks, not t-shirts and party dresses.

Chiaki Koizumi:
Some part of me is disappointed. I know I said I don’t want to save the world... but it’d still be cool to wear some hero garb.

Chiaki Koizumi:
Though I guess the familiarity is kind of comforting for me.

Chiaki Koizumi:
They pay for all of it too.

Chiaki Koizumi:

Is... this really okay? I feel like you both spent kind of a lot on me.

Chiaki is thinking to herself:

Chiaki Koizumi:
Not that I know the value of money here either.

Micah:

You have nothing otherwise, right? Couldn't just let you run around in the same set of clothes over and over again until your first payday!

Verity:

That's right. It's gonna be a few weeks. So you'd be waiting for a while otherwise!

Chiaki Koizumi:

Well, um... thank you both.

Chiaki is thinking to herself:

Chiaki Koizumi:
I hope I can repay them someday...

Verity:

Do you want us to carry anything, by the way?

Chiaki is thinking to herself:

Chiaki Koizumi:
I also still have my school uniform from back home. I don't know if I have a use for it anymore, but the thought of getting rid of it fills me with dread.

Nagisa Tadashii Labrie:

Hey, Chiaki-chan!

Chiaki Koizumi:

Be right there!

Chiaki is thinking to herself:

Chiaki Koizumi:
But I guess it is one of my few remaining connections to home now. Besides my bag, my UsaMaMa-chan, and my picture of me and Fumiko.
