Synopsis

The Little Bastards search Golem Hall, and find it much emptier than expected.

Harley and Arc go on ahead and glance in the rooms for the first four panels. They all seem to be pretty empty. Nothing and nobody to be seen.

Where is Chiaki, though, I wonder? Hmm... (Sorry. We'll have to be a little patient on that front for the next few pages.) ;P

For now I'm gonna keep focus on the thieves, though. And it's actually so empty, Bonnie seems a little unnerved. It's not how she remembers it. The thieves discuss the situation, trying to make sense of it. Bonnie insists there MUST still be rich nobles schooling in the Grand Arcance Library, but Golem Hall itself feels off.

But as Bonnie is the only one with past experience in Golem Hall, she's the only one that's really spooked by this. Rhys, Harley, and Arc still seem willing to follow through. Only Jude feels off, but even they admit everything feels off in general for them right now.

Against Bonnie's better judgment, she gives in to her gang's excitement. "Let's be quick. In and out", she says.

You may already be starting to see a whole comedy of errors in the making here. I guess we'll see how this goes. ^^;

Harley and Arc checks the rooms

Harley:

Golem Hall appears to be empty. No guards. Dead silent.

Rhys Nevins:

Right on! Let's do this!

Harley:

No, I mean like really empty.

Bonnie:

That's... a lot more barren than I remember.

Bonnie:

There used to be paintings and ornamental swords and such on the wall.

Harley:

Half of the rooms don't even have beds.

Bonnie:

Okay, this might be spooking me a little.

Jude:

Is it possible they stopped schooling nobles here?

Bonnie:

I can't imagine they would. It’s no secret that after the Obliteration of North Rose, the nobles sending their kids to learn here became the Library's main source of funding.

Bonnie:

And I can personally confirm there are still nobles living here.

Rhys Nevins:

Maybe the current class is just a small one?

Bonnie:

Maybe...

Jude:

So what do we do, then? Should we just take what we can? Or do we cut our losses and book it for now?

Rhys Nevins:

I mean, we came this far. Even if it's less than we hoped for, we shouldn’t leave empty-handed, right?

Harley:

I kinda hate to leave this one myself. Even a little something to pay off for all the prep we did would make it worth it.
