MIS:22: Tour
Synopsis
Verity excitedly shows Chiaki where the bathroom is. We learn that Verity works in the museum section, part of the Grand Arcane Library. We also learn about the Age of Lilim, a time period which spans the past 3,000 years. Verity, Belial, and Nagisa are confused as to why Chiaki does not know this, and Chiaki brushes it of as "amnesia".

To be clear, Chiaki here saying she doesn't know what the Age of Lilim is would be kind of akin to someone in modern America saying it's 2023 AD, and someone else asking what AD is. In fairness, plenty of people don't know what AD really means or stands for. And likewise, it's possible the deeper implications of the Age of Lilim might not necessarily be known by all these kids either. But I feel like the surface level understanding of AD at least being that nebulous "now period" that it's been for the last two-thousand years is understood well enough (though, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). The Age of Lilim is itself just "a thing they've called the time they live in for the last three-thousand years".
And presumably, a "time predating the Age of Lilim" would be like their BC.
I hope that all makes sense.
It's not super important to know what the Age of Lilim is right now anyway. The more immediately significant part is to show the culture shock and barrier Chiaki is continuing to face here. This is like "first grader level" knowledge that people would just be expected to know. The other girls meanwhile aren't likely to judge her too harshly, but they certainly are surprised to hear this, "amnesia" or not.
Oh, also some goofy banter about bathrooms or whatever. XD
