Magical
Magical is an upcoming webcomic by Jocelyn Samara DiDomenick, set in the Rainverse.[3][4] It will feature Carmen Jimenez as a protagonist. The main cast will consist of four trans magical boys/magical girls, including Carmen, Max, Nora, and Riley.[1]
The story is based on the magical girl genre, the twist being that the entire main cast—who are transgender—would have to navigate their life as both magical people tasked with defending their classmates by fighting against dangers, and as closeted teenagers going to school who are bullied by the same people who they are protecting.[1]
The cast cannot maintain their magical forms constantly since it is dangerous to stay in it long-term, and thus will have to recharge their magic periodically to conserve energy in case of an imminent fight.[5] They also avoid everyone fighting at once, albeit occasionally teaming up with two or three members for larger enemies, in case of there is a threat the next day as there would be no one left to defend.[6]
