Gavin observes Rudy smiling at his texts with Colette, and wonders to himself what is going on.

Well, Gavin's not wrong, per se. But he doesn't quite have it yet. It's certainly "not what he thinks", but I guess you could say he's thinking in the wrong direction. He probably does have all the information to figure it out though... >_>
Still, good on him for not pressing Rudy. These guys rag on each other a lot, but at least they're close enough to be respectful and read the room.

It's strange. I don't usually see him so flustered like this. He says "it's not what I think", but when he’s trying so hard to deny everything and can barely keep his voice from cracking while saying it, it's hard to believe it. And yet...
