Synopsis

As Rain and Emily both sit out off gym class, the two girls bond. Emily admits she is jealous of Rain's and Holly's relationships and not entirely over Chase.

Well, this is interesting…

Theoretically, we can toss Rain’s kind words up to her being kind of intimidated by Emily (and based on past experiences with her, can you blame Rain?). But Emily? As kind of a continuation of the last update’s question, what’s up with her?

She clearly had an agenda in the beginning of the page, but does she really believe Rain’s answer? Did she get the answer she wanted? Is she looking for any other answers with the rest of her dialogue, or do we think she’s being sincere?

Can I ask you something? Did you know Chase? My boyf... er, ex-boyfriend.

Liriel Rain Bryer:

No. I remember he said he recognized me, but I definitely didn't know him.

Emily Rose Bryer:

I see.

Awkward silence...

Emily Rose Bryer:

Uh, look. I'm sorry I'm kinda being nosy. I guess I'm not quite over Chase, and I'm getting jealous of you and Holly being so happily coupled when I just recently became single.

Emily Rose Bryer:

I don't normally like admitting stuff like this, but it kinda hurts, you know?

Liriel Rain Bryer:

Y-you'll find someone new! Someone better! He'll make you even happier than Chase!

Liriel Rain Bryer:

And then everything will be all better!

Emily Rose Bryer:

You're awfully naive about the way the world works, aren't you, Rain?

Emily Rose Bryer:

But thank you. That was sweet of you to say. You're really not the hellraiser I originally thought you were.
