I guess I probably could have had these be two separate updates, but that would have been a REAL jerk move on my part if I had. Even as it is, I’m sure I’ll get hatemail for this. ^_^
But, you know, Maria WAS kind of rude to Rain during the last chapter (with Rain completely unassuming as to why). And even if Maria feels guilty about it, it’s hard to just ask forgiveness to someone she’s alienated for over a week.

So if I'm moving on, there's no reason for me not to keep being Rain's friend, right? This shouldn't be too hard.
Listen, I'm sorry for being such a jerk to you this past week. You did nothing wrong, and I was completely out of line. I hope you can forgive me and we can just go back to being friends like nothing happened.
Of course, Maria! I was never even upset about the whole thing to begin with! Let's go back to the way it was!
