Technically, this is unrelated to the actual page content, but Chanel is hard to draw. Drawing proportions consistently has never been one of my strong points, but she’s supposed to be notably short and well-endowed compared to the rest of the cast. I find that in most panels that include her with another character, I end up having to draw her twice. I can at least sort of fudge it if no one else is the panel (or they’re sitting down).
Oh yeah, and this is an important page dialogue-wise… not to mention extremely experimental panel-wise. I don’t like the layout personally, but meh. If I do it only once, it’s no biggie, right?

The girl I liked... well, still like, really... she's my best friend. Now she's in a relationship with a boy.
I resented her, I think, for picking him over me. But that was unreasonable on my part. She never knew how I felt, and since she's dating a boy after all, I guess she didn't feel the same way.
So, I tried to move on. I openly came out thinking it might help. If there were others like me in this school too, maybe they'd come out as well.
All it's really gotten me so far though is disdain from my parents, and ridicule from my classmates.
And now it's been so long since I've talked to Rain that I feel like I can't anymore. I still want to be her friend, but I'm afraid she won't accept my apology.
You made some mistakes, Maria, but I don't think you're entirely in the wrong either. I'm sure something good will come of your actions.
We're going to see Rain. You'll apologize. And I'll be right by your side the whole time. It'll go really well.
