Boy, that changed her tune real quick. XD
While the last page was indeed devastating (and important), I don't want to hang on to that mood right now. Fortunately, Rain is easily distractable. And hey, being called "pretty" by her crush practically negates everything else in the universe at that moment. Emily always knows just the right thing to say.
Although, is she just saying that to cheer her up, or is she speaking from the heart because that's absolutely how she feels. However she meant it though, it's probably clear from that last panel how Rain interpreted it (and how Maria and Chanel interpreted it, for that matter).

I was starting to feel better too. Why can't I just catch a break? Why is this just getting harder?
Don't you listen to them, Rain. Those stupid brats clearly don't know what a girl looks like.
