Rain:959: Comforting
Synopsis
Gavin points out how unusual it is that Drew manages to seriously upset Ky, and says it's probably because Ky cares a lot about Drew.

I'm sure you've got things to speculate regarding what kind of answer Drew is looking for and what Gavin might say, but if I may take a moment to talk about something somewhat related.
Some of you may remember that sometime last year, I asked for readers to submit votes for prom king and queen in Rain via Survey Monkey. The idea being that with all the prom talk in the story, there would need to be a prom king and queen when that night finally arrives. In real life, they'd typically be voted in by their fellow classmates. In the Rainverse, they'd be voted in by YOU. And whoever gets the most votes, I'd make happen in canon.
The polling was only meant to go until sometime in the Summer, but it ended right around the time I took my lengthy hiatus for depression, so I basically forgot about it. Until recently, when I finally remembered to check the votes, only to find a steep paywall blocking the results, due to fine print I didn't notice (probably my own fault). I wouldn't inherently be against the idea of paying a little bit if I'd known up front, but I didn't know and it wasn't asking for a little bit. The whole thing felt a little sneaky to me. And if I were to drop all that money to just hear the more obvious front runners, I was gonna be annoyed. Rather than risk frustration, I decided to just try something else.
So yesterday, I finally got around to setting up a Google Forms poll to try this again. I figure I've still got time until I need the results, and asking people to answer two simple questions again shouldn't really be that big a deal. If you don't feel like doing it again, I understand. But as is, if you don't mind voting again (or a first time, if you're a newer reader), you can submit your votes here!
And don't worry! I'm not asking for emails or personal information; it's just two little questions with no wrong answers. I don't care if you vote differently than last time (not that I'd know anyway), and I don't care if you cast weird or unlikely votes (in fact, I'd encourage more unusual choices). Don't worry if it seems impossible; I like the challenge and I'll make it work. And while you're allowed to shout out who you voted for in the comments, ONLY votes cast through the poll will be counted. And when prom king and queen are voted for in the story, I'll reveal the results to you. ^_^
