Originally, I was going to have another Rain Delay today and start the chapter on Monday. I kinda hated the Delay I had planned for today though, so let's just get back to what you're really here for. XD
I imagine the part of this page a lot of people are going to home in on is Kylie (or Puddle, I guess; he has that effect on people). As I've said already earlier this week, it's been a long time since Kylie has been active in the story. It was honestly one of the driving motivations for writing this chapter (among other things of course)!
Emily also gets special notice here. In school, she can still kinda hide her belly thanks to her blazer (keen eyed readers might notice she started buttoning it shut from Chapter 15 on). But out of school, in a perhaps less problematic environment we can see what her progress is looking like when she's not trying to hide it as much. Again, I don't have a lot of firsthand experience around pregnant women, so I referred to Google Images for examples of what she should look like at this point. Apparently, it's extremely varied, so this is just what I'm going with.
Another thing perhaps worth mentioning is that that's an odd gathering of characters. Can't help but wonder what kind of dynamic this will spark. I will say this chapter isn't quite as contained as the last few, so it will be cutting away to a few others (some you might not expect). These three are definitely the stars of the chapter though.
Sigh... I guess I will draw attention to Puddle too. If nothing else, it's the first time he's ever been on a chapter page. XD
