Rain (comic)
Rain is a slice-of-life/dramedy webcomic written and drawn by Jocelyn Samara DiDomenick about a trans girl named Rain. The comic is about her attempt to pass her senior year of high school presenting as a girl. The comic also covers many other LGBT issues and takes place in late August[1] 2012. The comic also has a prequel: My Impossible Soulmate.
The comic itself is hosted on DeviantArt and Comic Fury. The comic was formerly hosted on SmackJeeves as well, but that was discontinued following a change on the site that locked out the author's account and broke most direct comic links.[2]
The comic has a Facebook page, a Patreon page, a Discord server, and a TvTropes page. There is also a complete Spanish translation and a partial French translation,[3] created by readers of Rain.

Trivia
- Throughout the entire comic, only a single page is different depending on which platform you read it from.
- There has only been one documented instance of a page's contents being significantly changed post-publication. (Jocelyn sometimes fixes minor mistakes, like having two pair of eyebrows[4] or grammar[5]).
- The spines of the physical versions of the comic are the colors of the seven-color rainbow pride flag.[6][7][8]
- Ringtones were originally supposed to be actual song lyrics, but the idea was scrapped because it was both impractical since pages can be crowded enough as-is, and because Lynn wants to avoid using brand names.[9]
- Lynn has stated that she plans to put Rain on Tapas.[10]
- The comic has been used for examples numerous times in the English Wiktionary.[11]
- Jocelyn initially desired the main cast to contain characters who are LGBT, as in literally just lesbians, gay folks, bisexuals, and transgender people, though she quickly realized that other types of queer people existed and the cast has since then expanded past the four-letter acronym.[12]
- Lynn lost the original PSD files for volumes 1 and 2 :([13]
