Webcomic Time
(Redirected from Webcomic time)
Webcomic Time refers to the in-universe flow of time, as distinct from the often much slower flow of time in real life ("IRL"). It often takes much more real-life time to produce a webcomic page than for the depicted events to occur in-universe.[1]
Several Rainverse stories have had fourth-wall breaks make reference to Webcomic Time.
In Rain
- 1125: Back in Time: Rain remarks that the past eight months of her life, from her first day at St. Hallvard (IRL: 2010) to Prom night (IRL: 2019), has felt like nine years.
In Rain Delay
- Rain Delay 7: During the second strip, the date jumps from 21 September to 31 October, confusing poor Holly O'Neill.
- Rain Delay - Two Months: Rain wonders whether real-life time might cause her hair and breasts to grow more quickly.
In Rainbow Stories
- Dragon Rain 2: Bureaucracy: Rain references Webcomic Time to suggest that she had had sufficient time to consider a third puberty.
