Template:Pagebox
Usage
Simply fill these fields out as best as you can:
{{Pagebox | title = | image = | page = | chapter = | chapter-name = | published = | characters = | location = | previous = | next = | sort = | sortPage = | deviantart = | smackjeeves = | comicfury = | tapas = }}
Title
The title
parameter defaults to the current page's title, so this usually does not need to be specified
Page
The page
parameter takes in the page number(s) of the page. For one-pagers, only specify the page number (example: 471: Our Own Prom). For two-pagers or three-pagers, specify [First page number]-[Last page number]
(examples: two-pager and three-pager).
Chapter (chapter
and chapter-name
)
The chapter
parameter takes in the chapter number (e.g. 35), and the chapter-name
parameter takes in the chapter name (e.g. Weather the Storm).
Published
The published
parameter is usually in the format of [Month name] [Day number][st/nd/rd/th], [Four-digit year]
.
Characters
The characters
parameter takes in {{CharLink}} templates separated by
. Characters should only be listed here if:
- they have a speaking role on the page (e.g. 6: Tact) or
- they're actually drawn on the page (e.g. 7: Blending In).
Other cases, such as mentioned characters, should not be listed here.
Location/Locations
The location
parameter takes in the name of the location. It will link to the page if it exists, otherwise it will link to the list of pages with that location. An exception to this is the location "N/A", which signifies that the page is not really in a location.
The field also takes in newline and
-separated text, in which case the page will be classified under all of the locations listed, and the field label will be "Locations".
Previous and Next (previous
, previous-raw
, next
, next-raw
)
The previous
and next
parameters take in the page number and name (e.g. "948: Language"). Do not specify the namespace (e.g. "Rain:") and do not make it a link (i.e. do not wrap it in [[]]).
If needed, you can add previous-raw
and next-raw
when you want to override the default text of previous
and next
respectively without it being linked automatically, such as the page being the last page of the comic.
Page sorted as (sort
and sortPage
)
This is purely technical information related to how this page is sorted in categories (this is the sort key), and should not concern most people. sort
lets you manually set the sort key in its entirety, while sortPage
lets you control the page number used inside the sort key instead of letting it default to the page
parameter.
DeviantArt, Comic Fury, and Tapas
The deviantart
, comicfury
, and tapas
parameters each take a URL to DeviantArt, Comic Fury, and Tapas.io platforms, respectively. These URLs become clickable links at the bottom of the infobox for easy access to the page's source material.
SmackJeeves
Similar to deviantart
, comicfury
, and tapas
, the smackjeeves
parameter takes a URL to what would have been the page on SmackJeeves before that platform went dark in 2021. Consider a link to the Wayback machine here instead.
